Dragon Age II : Quick Glimpse - Dragon Age 2 unlike its predecessor Dragon Age: Origins “centralizes around a fully-voiced human character, Hawke, a Lothering refugee who rises to power.”

Hawke is the main protagonist of the story, he is left a refugee after his town was rampaged and destroyed by Darkspawn. The story revolves around his ascent to power and the decisions he makes that could ultimately bring the world into the brink of war. The story is set in the Free Marches, in the city of Kirk wall. The story begins with the appearance of the Darkspawn and other threats that are posing a threat to the peace of the world. The time frame of the story is a decade, this allows the story to slowly unfold as the gamer follows Hawke’s slow ascent into power and growth as a person. The game is highly interactive, where every choice you make can affect the outcome of your story.

It is not necessary to play Dragon Age: Origins the games prequel to understand the story line. The story is set 10 years after the first game. Though there is the option of importing your Dragon Age: Origins play through. This will allow users to experience the consequences of the decisions they made in the previous game.

You have the option of playing three different classes, Warrior, Mage or Rogue. This creates variety giving the gamer the ability to play melee, ranged damage or deadly spell combat. Bioware has confirmed a new set of spells and abilities have been created, allowing further customisation options for your character. This should make the game twice as exciting.

Dragon Age 2 is being released for the PS3, Xbox 360 and the PC. We are lead to believe by the game development that this game will be a visual feat. The trailer in itself is an explosion of realism mixed with raw gore though not much of the plot is revealed! The game play is graceful though some previewers say Hawke tears through battles like enemies were little defenseless lambs.

This game could easily be the most anticipated game for 2010, so hold your hats because the release date is on March 8, 2011 for America and two days later March 10,2011 for Europe.
